About

Singleton Associates, LLC was founded by Dr. Lawrence G. Singleton, Ph.D., CPA, CGMA, dean and professor of accounting at the Lubin School of Business at Pace University in New York. He was previously dean and professor of accounting and international business at the Marist School of Management and the undergraduate dean and accounting professor at The George Washington University School of Business.  In is 20+ years of working with both graduate and undergraduate students he has seen first hand the difficulty many students have with accounting and finance topics. In response, he founded his own comany, Singleton Associates, LLC, and promised himself that he would only offer seminars that simplify complex topics and make it easy for students to learn the things they needed to know to be successful.

In his work with graduate students at Pace University (in New York), Marist (in New York), GW (in Washington), Peking Univerisity (in China) and the Grenoble School of Management (in France) he found that most students understood that they needed to understand accounting and finance, even if they never planned to be an accounting or finance professional. However, they were frequently intimidated by the subject matter and the way it had been presented to them in college classes and textbooks.

Based on his experience he developed the Accounting Treasure Hunt®, the most effective (and easy to understand) accounting and finance program anywhere. The Accounting Treasure Hunt® is based on Singleton’s award-winning teaching style, where he is known for his ability to simplify complex topics and present them in a way that allows nonfinancial professionals the ability to understand the topics for the first time and apply them in their work.

This same intuitive, interactive, and enjoyable approach to learning has been applied to our other courses in accounting, finance, HR, and law.
